Newbie
Good morning all,
I am a new member and was told yesterday by my consultant/surgeon that i have grade 4 arthritis behind my knee cap. I had an accident at work back in January this year. Which resulted in having part of my medial meniscus removed.
Since having this surgery, there has been no improvement in my knee. The consultant wants me to have a mri scan to rule out another tear to my meniscus. He is pretty sure that it's the arthritis that's giving me the pain and suffering.
I would like to know about people's experiences and what treatments are available? Btw, i am 41 year's old.
Thanks

Hello @Sand79 and welcome to the community. We are a friendly and supportive group and I hope that that is your experience as well.
I understand that you have pain in your knee and that your consultant thinks it may be arthritis related. Our website has a lot of useful information and has a good search function and I would urge you to have a look around it. To help you I've highlighted a couple of links below that you might find useful.
Please do keep posting and let us know how you are getting on and I am sure that others will connect and share their experiences as well.
With very best wishes
