Facet Joint Arthrosis

Hi there

I've been diagnosed with facet joint arthrosis. I seemed to get it doing exercises to help my neck using online videos!!

I'm 38, very depressed and don't know what the future holds. I have pains down my shoulders and sometimes I wake up with numbness in my arm.

Nice to meet you. I am sorry to hear about your pain. I was once told it wasn't whatever you did (turning over on bed, lifting some fluff off the floor) which causes your back problems rather it is years of moving badly twisting etc.

Either was you are where you are and i am wondering what your Dr has suggested? Have you had physio or been referred to a pain clinic for instance. My ex MIL used to have injections into her facet joints which helped her a lot.

If it's any consolation I had back surgery (not facet) at 39 and am still up on my feet in spite of acquiring an inflammatory arthritis too along the way too.
