Dog walking pain next day

Hello I have a flare down most of my right side, yesterday walked both my dogs on my waist band lead (a running lead) on pavements for 40 min. Plus a few mins of weeding the driveway. How does anyone else walk dog/s garden etc without getting flare that night or nxt day.,&,9, xx

If you're flaring as a result of what you did yesterday I think there's only one, unpalatable, answer. You did too much. Maybe dogwalking and weeding in one day were too much. I wonder if the running lead pulls you with being round your waist. Maybe you can't do both on the same day. Can you buy something to kill the weeds to save bending? Or bribe a child😉 Or exercise the dogs by chucking something for them to chase?

If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

    Thank u stickywicket

your are indeed jolly right - did too much. I’m so reluctant to slow down at 48! Plus dogs pulling around waist /dog attachment needs to stop. Shame I thought it wd solve them pulling my shoulders on normal leads. Will have to beg husband to walk dogs with me, daughter can’t due to issues.,so they leave it up to me. Think we need a family meeting as I’m getting more pain nowadays. Will think on re games to play instead with dogsI like that idea so will the boys! 🐶🐶I never use weed killer far to dangerous for dogs and all the animals surrounding me, plus humans actually come to think of it. but it wd b a lovely option as can’t weed myself and can’t afford a gardener. (I live in a Rd of retirees with immaculate gardens!🤣 who even drop hints my branches of shrubs are going to get people wet when walking past on pavement…. No pressure then .. to keep up with the Jones’s ) PsA & fibro are Hidden disability so I find older generation/ neighbours ( parents!) through no fault of there own look at me and think “ ur young,(48) you no nothing of arthritis being ill” Thank u for ur reply it often takes seeing it in black & white that you need to go a bit easier - & defo not do two flare activating tasks in one day. Take good care R

As half of a retired couple, with an OK but hardly Immaculate garden, that must be annoying, though, I guess, also annoying for passers-by getting wet. We had the problem in a previous house. As for them thinking they have a monopoly on arthritis - if only! Try getting it at 15. I got some right stick from a teacher when I said I couldn't help her move some furniture. To her credit she apologised next day when she'd asked in the staff room.

I used to hate it when people told me I was too young for arthritis but then, after many years, they stopped😄
