Supplements
Any thoughts on what supplements help or should be avoided?
I am prescribed Gabapentin so don't want to interfere with its efficacy.
Have previously used nagnesium, still taking multi vitamin daily. Heard good reports about turmeric and vitamin D but wish to proceed with caution.

Hi Jane63c,
Thank you for posting again on the Helpline forum. I am sorry for the delay in responding to your first post about Gabapentin.
Regarding nutritional supplements and alternative medicines, it is always wise to talk things through with your GP or other healthcare professional who is aware of your individual clinical circumstances and medications you are taking. Care is needed as some chemicals interact with each other. We are not medically trained.
I hope the information given below will be of some help.
If at any point you would like to talk things through informally and in confidence, you are welcome to call our Free Helpline on 0800 520 0520 weekdays 9am – 6pm.
Best wishes,
Fiona, Helpline Advisor
