Arthritis and low mood
Hi I always considered myself a pretty positive person but I'm waiting for the second Total knee replacement . This time I just can't get mentally prepared for the surgery. I was for my first knee replacement but this time I am not able to get my positive mojo up and running. I am really struggling now with walking my dog, I do it but it really hurts. Very wearing emotionally. I don't like to whine to family and friends but it's getting more difficult. I think I may have my surgery before Xmas.

Hello @Stringy and welcome to the community. We are a friendly and supportive group and I hope that that will be your experience as well.
I understand that you are waiting for your second knee replacement and that it is getting you down. Pain and frustration can be very wearing and I am sure that your family and friends understand that you are struggling, but communities like this help as you will find that you are not alone. Our website is also very useful and has a search function and I would urge you to have a look through it. To help I've put a couple of links in below.
I hope that you do get your surgery before Christmas then you can look forward to next year and getting back to normal in your life. Please do keep posting and let us know how you are getting on and I am sure that others will connect with you and share their experiences as well.
With very best wishes
