Someone was starting a new job..
Don't hesitate. I did a similar thing in volunteering and lay-tutoring recently and it's the best thing I have done.
People are so supportive and understanding. It will give you so much back, socialisation friends, mental stimulation and increase self-esteem.
Go for it. What do you have to lose?

It really is hard at present. Living with more than one long-term health condition is tough. I'm also finding this time of year hard. Switching to a new medication on top of the others makes life hard.
I think it is the same for others. Some weeks you are up and some you can feel very low and tired of it all.
Does anyone else have the thoughts of ..can I stick this for x number of years? Probably lots at one time or another.
I think with pain only others also experiencing pain can understand. We can do our best to explain how we feel but living with it is hard to explain. You know there are others worse off than you but that doesn't help with pain.
So important to have an outlet to talk to others in this way.
Good luck folks, keep chatting
