Hello Everyone.

I have recently been diagnosed with the above and before then I had never heard of this complaint.

I have suffered from Arthritis for a long time. Does anybody know what triggers the PMR. Do you possibly think it could be connected to the Covid Jabs

    Hi @astrojay

Welcome to our online community, and thank you very much for seeking our help.

I understand that you have recently been diagnosed with polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR), and that you have also had symptoms of arthritis (osteoarthritis?) for a long time. You don't tell us if you are getting any treatment.

The Versus Arthritis website has a page about PMR -

The cause of PMR is not known but the NHS website says "a combination of genetic and environmental factors is thought to be responsible". It has been suggested that stress can trigger the onset of PMR. Versus Arthritis does not link the onset of PMR with Covid vaccination.

Thank you again for contacting us and asking for our support - please visit regularly and join in the discussions.

    Very best wishes
