Hello, I have joined the Community today. I was diagnosed in 1997 with Rheumatoid Arthritis. I have many years experience of living with the condition and look forward to communicating with participants in the 'Versus Arthritis' community.

  • Hello I have Rheumatoid Arthritis in multiple joints, both knees & hands primarily. I have a 'Bakers Cyst' in my right lower leg. Currently I am experiencing a bad flare up affecting all the above mentioned joints. I am able to manage the flare up by resting as much as possible & I find that eating a balanced diet helps, although on some days I really don't feel like eating. As far as medication is concerned I take Methotrexate on a weekly basis, Folic tablets twice a week & when necessary standard painkillers. Periodically the Methotrexate makes me nauseous but that is the only side affect.
