arthritis in both toe joints

hi i am new to this forum, and i have hallux rigidus, which is arthritis in big toe joints. i have suffered with this for many years and have taken pain killers, had steroid injections, but it is still very painful, and i have decided to opt for surgery now and wondered if anyone else has this condition

Swimming is recommended for the relearning of balance once one has had surgery and I wonder if you have access to a pool near you for your post operation recuperation?
