New to this
After yet another night of pain and wondering why I bother taking all these medicines I thought I would take a look on here.

Hello @Kagzee and welcome to the online community.
I detect a deep sigh whilst you were writing your post describing another night of pain . Those of us who live with arthritis often suffer from bouts of sleep deprivation and fatigue. You do not say what type of arthritis you have and what other ways it affects your everyday life and what particular medication you have been prescribed. Maybe you could post us some more personal details and we can offer more specific support.
Meanwhile I attach a link about sleep which contains information about your preparation for sleep and routines that you might consider useful to adopt.
We are glad you found us and hope that you will join us on the community discussions and activities. we look forward to hearing from you soon.
Take Care

Thank you for the information. I was diagnosed initially with PMR and Palindromic arthritis back in 2018. In 2019 the diagnosis was changed to PMR and rheumatoid Arthritis and I was put on methotrexate with a view to review in early 2020. I haven’t had a face to face appointment since 2019. I often have episodes when one of my hands or an elbow or shoulder freezes up completely. The pain is excruciating. Last night it was a hand. I take hydroxychloroquine as well and until September last year took steroids. Things have definitely got worse since coming off the steroids. I feel at a loss as to help myself.
