I know how I feel but Doctors don't
I am always trying to find a solution to help me cope with pain which at the moment is 24/7 but after seeing the specialist last week I feel so despondent. I've had both knees replaced & he now says I need a new hip! Knowing I'll have to wait at least 2 years fills me with dread as I can't control my pain. Where do I go from here? I just want to be in touch with someone who cares & can understand how I feel.

Hi @Glamgran firstly let me welcome you to the forum I hope you find the information and support you are after from our wonderful community.
I can see from your post that you are going through processing your need for a new hip, on top of your previous double knee replacements. I appreciate the wait can be anxious and I am sure that some of our lovely community will be able to help you through it.
The site is full of information and I wanted to point you to as a starter a couple of useful links. Firstly, tips to help hip pain and then, what to expect with hip surgery. Finally, a link to some advice on how to prepare for surgery in the current climate.
Please feel free to search the forum for others with similar experiences and I am sure that some of our community will be able to help offer some useful suggestions.
Take care and I hope you feel better soon.
Thanks
Joe
