I am planning to go to USA for 3 months -currently on monthly toculizimab infusions. Anybody got any advice on how to manage this as I can't risk not having the monthly dose. Can I get it done in the US?

My son, who has lived in USA for about 15 years, tells me you can get hold of anything you want there - if you can afford it.

Perhaps your rheumatologist can suggest something a bit more optimistic.

If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Thanks..you probably can, but they will need referrals, confirmation you can pay, confirmation you won't sue them afterwwards..and all sorts of things. You can't exactly buy it off the shelf! Even if I took the medicine with me I'm not sure how to get someone to administer it. And that's before I work out if we can afford it!

Hi @HMEH and welcome to the Online Community.

The UK government has some very helpful pages of information regarding travel to the USA and it may well be worth taking a look at their advice: https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/usa

There is also a link on that page to their foreign travel check list which includes some brief general but important information about prescribed medications.

As a last resort, the US Embassy should be able to tell you as there may be details about your visit that we don't know about: https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/

    Best wishes
