Possible Trapeziectomy
Hi all. I have arthritis in both of my thumbs. I have in the past had steroid injections. The first one I had in my right hand lasted 18 months. The second one done by GP didn’t work. 3rd one done by Muscosketal clinic in right hand has lasted 7 months. But left hand has only lasted 4 months. The Muscosketal lady has booked me in for another injection on left hand but has said my X-rays done in April last year showed quite a bit of arthritis. So it’s just getting worse. She has mentioned possibly referring me to Orthopaedic Team with a view to having Trapeziectomy.
I’m sure many people have had this op. Could you share your experiences with me please?
