OSTEO-ARTHRITIS IN FINGERS
Hi All, I have just registered with the group so this is my first post. I have osteo-arthritis in my knees; one has been replaced (and the other will need to be replaced in due course). But at least something can be done about knees and hips. Fingers are rather different. As far as I've been able to find out, there's no real track record of successful joint replacement. Mine are painful and stiff - and they're getting less flexible by the week. I can't now close one hand (so it's difficult, for example to hold a pen and it hurts to pick things up and grip is non-existent) and the other hand is steadily following suit. I already do a range of "recommended" exercises but they aren't stopping the relentless deterioration in movement. Does anyone else have similar problems?
