Thank-you

Hi @Demoman1 - welcome to the online community!
I see you have been diagnosed for a couple of years now with Osteoarthritis, but currently your knee is really bad, to the extent you can't climb your stairs.
My best advice for Osteoarthritis (I too have it in my knees and it can be really bad occasionally) is to make sure you are taking painkillers. Ask your pharmacist if you're not sure which ones are appropriate. If you are taking over the counter pain killers and they're not helping, maybe consider talking to your GP.
Beyond that, the best two things I've found are stretching as much as you can (within reason! No hurting yourself more!) and using heat. I have both the microwavable bags which you can apply anywhere, and an electric shaped heat blanket thing, which is really good for the places it fits.
I've found a couple of links which may help you:
I do help this helps! Do let me know if you have any specific issues you have questions over, it's what we're here for!
Lovely to meet you,
Shell

Hi
Ditto!
For both being a newbie and struggling with knees and the impossible mountain that used to be a staircase!
This is NOT fun is it?
Just joined this group myself and am going to be spending a lot of time trying to find out how others cope - because there has to be a way. Surely.
Hope you start feeling a wee bit better soon.
Fingers crossed for you.

Welcome to the forum, @Izzykk . I see that you are facing similar difficulties to @wendy28, but you do not say what lies at the root of your pain.
If you can give us some more information we may be able to point in the direction of helpful information.
In the meantime, keep visiting the forum and see how the experiences of others can help you and let us know how you get on.

Thanks Tom
I will certainly be trying to find my way around the forum and taking as much advice as is applicable to my own
situation ... it's not 'good' to hear of others with similar issues, but it is certainly somewhat reassuring to learn that
one is not alone!
