RA
Hi I'm female58 I was diagnosed last March after a very stressful time. Since then I was put on Hydroxochloroquine which made my legs ache,so now I'm on Methotrexate which I am tolerating. Over the last 5 months I have been experiencing horrible calf pain where my lower legs spasms. I explained this to RA nurse but to no avail. Been to my GP who sent me to physio and I have also paid private. Still no further forward. Sciatica mentioned but would this last this long? I'm quite a tough cookie but its really getting me down now. I just want to know what this is and feel I am just being passed over and offered painkillers, but for what? Sorry for the negative post ,but is anyone else experiencing this, any remedies greatly appreciated Judith

Hi @Judyboz123 welcome back to the Online Community.
Pains in the leg are often referred pain from the back muscles, something I get especially when trying to get to sleep: chronic back pain and my legs all start hurting when I lie down.
The web site has a set of exercises that may help and I've had some relief afterwards. My problem is building a routine so that I keep it up, but that's a different issue!
Although it says "backpain" these do help with legs as well - give it a gentle go to see how things turn out.
