hello

i have was told just over 2 years ago that i have psoriatic arthritis in 2 of my toes

and rheumatoid arthritis in 1 finger on my hand

I am on 1000mg of NAPROXEN and co-dydromol 2 times a day

i am not in a lot of pain BUT the hospital want to change my medication to

methotrexate,also prednisolone and folic acid

and said once i start to taken the new meds i will need to go for blood tests every 2 weeks

i dont understand why they want to change the meditcation as naproxen is helping me right now.

has anyone else used the new meds

    Hi @kimmy_7859 and welcome to the versus arthritis forum. 

    You suffer with psoriatic and rheumatoid arthritis, your existing medication appears to be working but the hospital are advising changing it. You don’t understand why this is the case and would like some advice from any forum members who have experience with taking the newly advised medication.
