Recent diagnosis
Hello all, I have recently been diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my hips, neck and shoulders after several years of constant neck pain and discomfort. However, I am now having pain in my feet, particularly in my heels and wondered if this could be connected to the osteo. I have not contacted my GP as the only advice I was given after my diagnosis was to take ibuprofen- which I can only take sparingly due to taking blood pressure meds too.
Any advice or tips would be appreciated.

Hello @Jeanish and welcome to the online community,
You have experienced osteoarthritis in your hips , neck and shoulders for a number of years and now have pain in your feet. There are likely to be connections between your painful hip and feet joints as we tend to move to compensate the pain in one part of our body and can unknowingly put strain on another. It may be helpful to ask your GP to refer you to a physiotherapist or a podiatrist who could assess your walking motion and sometimes they prescribe a supportive shoe. I attach some links which you might find useful
There are lots of discussions and tips from our members so do take time to browse round the community, we are a friendly group and this is a safe place to share your concerns. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
