New to this site but old time sufferer.

Hi, I am Pippa. I am 74yrs old and have had arthritis for over 14 years. It is in my hips, spine, knees and is now beginning to affect my ankles, feet and hands. I have the added complication of being allergic to codeine so the only pain killer I can take is paracetamol! Flat lot of good that does! I also cannot take anti inflammatory medication due to a stomach problem! So I am in constant pain. I manage to cope with it most days so people do not understand how bad it is. I am hoping that talking to fellow sufferers may help me feel a bit better. Also I might learn a few tips and tricks to managing my life.

You have lived with arthritis for over fourteen years and it is now affecting your ankles. Also because you are restricted with the medication you can tolerate you are in constant pain. You have join the community to seek some additional tips and tricks to manage your life. We are so pleased to meet you and hope that the conversations you have with other members will reinforce that you are not alone . We are friendly group supporting each other along our journeys through life.
