First time posting
Hi,
I have had arthritis for a good few years now being first diagnosed when I was 25. Last year I stated to get swelling and pain in and around the base of my thumb, I was given a steroid injection into the joint and that helped for around 6 months. Unfortunately it is now back worse than ever. I cannot get a hospital appointment until July and I’m hoping one of you can give me any tips to cope until then. I have already upped my pain relief (tramadol) and using pain creams 🤞🏻

Hello @Kitch and welcome to the community. We are a friendly and supportive group and I hope that you will find that as well.
I understand that you have had arthritis since you were 25 and that last year you started to get swelling and pain in and around the base of your thumb. Our website has a lot of useful information which might help and I've put a couple of links in below.
Please do keep posting and let us know how you are getting on and I am sure that others will connect with you and share their thoughts and experiences as well.
With very best wishes
