Hello my name is Marsi, I’m 59. I have recently got over womb cancer my treatment finished in May 2021. I am now clear. Since april last year I began experiencing bad pain in my right hip, my doctor sent me for an X-ray and was told that I had severe arthritis and slightly less severe in my left.I also have arthritis in my knees. I’ve been using Butec pain patches I’m currently on 40mg which my doctor said was a high dose, but I still get pain in my hips/knees. I can only take ibruprofen and paracetamol aswell. I’m feeling so low because of the pain it’s 24/7. I am overweight but I’m slowly losing weight with slimming world. It would be interesting to see how fellow members cope with the pain. Thank you x

Good news on the cancer. I understand that you have arthritis in your hips and knees. Our website has a lot of useful information and I would recommend having a look around it. To help get you started I've put a couple of links in below which might be of interest.
Please do keep posting and let us know how you are getting on and I am sure that others will connect with you and share their support and experiences as well
With very best wishes
