Treatment for Rheumatoid Arthritis

Hi everybody.

i was diagnosed seven years ago. Have tried several Dmards. All have had a disastrous effect on my digestive system. Consultant is now suggesting Biological by injection. Has anyone got experience of these meds and their side effects and success treating RA. I am feeling very nervous about trying yet another new med.

    Welcome to the forum, @Emwood .

    I see that you were given a diagnosis of Rheumatoid Arthritis some seven years ago. Your experience with DMARDS have not been good, and you are now feeling nervous about the recommendation of your consultant to try injections with biologics. This progression form DMARDS to biologics is very common and on that I have been on myself with little or no issues.     You need to have trust in your consultant and be patient and allow the biologic time to work.
