Hello
Hello everyone.
I've joined this group to get help advice and support.
I've recently been diagnosed with osteoarthritis in both thumbs.
Its been an ongoing issue for over 2 years now but due to covid have only just found out what the pain was.
I'm yet to wait for a rheumatology appointment to decide how it's going to be treated. So not too sure what kind of treatment or plans they put in place.
I try not to read too much on Google as it can be misleading.
Hoping to hear some useful tips as I'm struggling to sleep and even doing the most basic things as I'm in constant pain.
Thank you

Hello @Amanda1605 Welcome to the Online Community.
I see you have recently been diagnosed with Osteoarthritis in both thumbs. Covid has unfortunately caused many of our member's to have their diagnoses delayed.
You are very wise too be cautious of Googling symptoms and here is a safe place to get informed and chat to people who understand.
I am attaching a reliable link about hand Arthritis, which includes information about thumbs too:
As you are newly diagnosed I wondered whether this might interest you too:
I'll leave you now to meet our members.
Best wishes
Ellen.
