Ankle fusion
Hi all out there, I have been living with my left ankle progressively getting more painful and harder to walk any distance to the point that my consaltant has put me down for an ankle fusion, I am now on the hospital waiting list. What I would really like to know is what is life like after the operation and how your movement is, short term and long term
Thank you all in anticipation Gary

Hi @Garyv and welcome to the online community,
Your left ankle is becoming increasingly painful and you are due to have an ankle fusion. You're interested to hear from members about what life is like after the operation.
There's a really good thread below of posts on ankle fusion surgery, written by members who have undergone the operation:
The Versus Arthritis website also has a page on tips and suggestions from people who have undergone the same surgery:
Do keep in touch and let us know how you get on - your experience will be valuable too.
Best wishes, Anna (Mod)
