    Hi @Mints (Carol),

Welcome to the Versus Arthritis forum, it’s great to have you here.

When a new member joins it’s usual to introduce yourself by outlining what brings you to the forum, a little about what type of arthritis you have, perhaps some of the symptoms and what you’d like to get out of the forum. This sounds very formal but it’s not, it just helps other forum members respond to you knowing a little about your situation. So if you’d like to make a second post that would be great.

Just in case you haven’t visited our website this link takes you there:

I hope you find joining the forum a rewarding experience.

    Best Wishes

Hi my name is jayne I am 67 and I've just been diagnosed with osteoarthritis affecting my shoulder neck and hand finding it very difficult to do normal daily things like getting dressed putting my coat on all the things I used to be able to do, I also have fibromyalgia which was diagnosed 20 years ago.

Not getting a lot of sleep which doesn't help. Doctors put me on medication but I don't tolerate it too well, have been referred for physio. I'm struggling mentally with the pain and lack of sleep I have decided to join versus arthritis in the hope I can get to learn how other people manage and cope with the condition
