Hello @DYD65 and welcome to the online community,

You have been diagnosed with arthritis in both shoulders and clavicle as well as in your back and knees. It's understandable that you feel your life has become smaller and you will never be comfortable again. But now you have your diagnosis, you can start to look at ways to live with your condition. Joining this community is a great start. All our members have experienced arthritis in their lives and they are happy to share their stories as well as the ways they have learned to cope. Everyone is welcoming, and I'm sure you will feel among friends as you browse through the forums. Why don't you introduce yourself on the Say Hello Forum? I've linked to the Forum where you can join in with any conversations or introduce yourself in a new post (click on the yellow box on the right)

When you've just been diagnosed it can seem overwhelming with so much to take in. Versus Arthritis have published a useful page for people such as yourself who are newly diagnosed - you might find it useful:

Do have a look round the forum and join in wherever you feel comfortable.

I had arthritis in the clavicle and spurs removed on the left shoulder joint four years ago which was very successful. Now have gone private to have clavicle arthritis and shoulder problems dealt with in the right shoulder. It is through arthroscopy and recovery is very quick. I would say if they offer you shoulder surgery it is a good option and does deal with the pain factor well. best Wishes
