Fatigue taking over !
Hi everyone ! Been a while since i was last on here. Combination of health and personal issues😥
I'm really struggling with extreme fatigue . I can't do anything, writing this is taking every bit of energy. I'm due for another dose of biologics at the end of the month, but they will take at least 2 months to kick in. I try to walk and keep moving but I struggle so badly that if someone doesn't pick me up in the car I'd probably be on the floor !
Any ideas how I can overcome this will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Ocean
I'm so sorry to here you're struggle with such bad fatigue and empathise with you a lot.
Unfortunately I can't offer any advise as to what can help as I am also suffering with awful fatigue lately too and can't seem for find anything that helps.
Hopefully your biologics help and you start to feel better soon
Sending energetic thoughts x
Amy

I’m afraid I don’t have any advice on biologics, but am an old hand at fatigue. Finding the root cause can be difficult, emotional trauma, stress, depression, pain, poor diet, not enough exercise, too much exercise, poor sleep patterns, plus the side effect of seemingly nearly every medication and medical condition.
But the principles of coping with it are similar. Have a healthy diet, improve your sleep patterns (including no screen time for an hour before you go to bed), manage your pain as best you can (as pain is exhausting in itself), try to get whatever exercise you can manage, and most of all, pace yourself. If you know you’ve got a busy day ahead, schedule in some recovery time for the next few days. If you’re already exhausted, it’s ok to say “no”.
Be kind to yourself, fatigue is not a sign of weakness that needs to be “pushed through”, it’s a sign that your batteries are running low and need recharging, how long depends on the individual and your circumstances. The lower the batteries go, it will take exponentially longer to recharge. You need to manage your activity levels over a longer period, ie not just over each day, but over the course of a week. Resting is not being idle, it’s actually just your body “recovering”, and it requires a bit of nursing the way you would anyone else who’s unwell or exhausted. Sometimes I wish our bodies came with gauges that would measure our energy levels like on battery testers, so people could see we’re not skiving or making it up.
Have a look at “spoon theory” it’s a really useful way to visualise your energy levels and work within them.
