Hello I am Kim and new here.

I have had Osteoarthritis for many years now but in 2012 I got Lyme Disease and Fibromyalgia. The Lyme made the arthritis much worse and I now have it symmetrically in feet, ankles, knees, shoulders and hips. I also have Cervical Spondylosis in my neck.

My question is I have controlled high blood pressure and cannot take anti inflammatory meds (which I feel I need). Does anyone know of anything else I can use as the normal pain killers do not work and I cannot take Amitriptyline. I have tried the likes of Turmeric but it doesn't seem to help either 🥺

Thanks for reading.

Hello @Kiki1 and welcome to the community. We are a friendly and supportive group and I hope that you will find that as well.

I understand that you have had osteoarthritis for many years and also have Lyme Disease and Fibromyalgia and that you are looking for alternatives to the anti-inflammatory medications. For medications you really need to talk to your GP but have you had a look at our website? It contains a lot of useful information that may be of help. I've put a couple of links below as examples.

Please do keep posting and let us know how you are getting on, and I am sure that others will connect with you to share their thoughts and experiences as well.

    With very best wishes
