Achilles Bursitis
Hi,
I’m experiencing pain and inflammation in my Achilles heel area and my chiropractor (I happened to be there for my routine appt) thinks it may be bursitis. Anyone experienced this and recommend any treatments ? I have RA
thanks

I was diagnosed with bursitis in my feet last month. It affects the balls of my feet and the inner side of both my heels. I saw a podiatrist last week and she has given me stretching exercises for my feet and she also gave me specific insoles. The insoles are definitely helping when I'm walking.

Hi @Mariannie
When I saw the podiatrist she gave me a set of insoles but said she would order another brand specific set and send them to me. They arrived at the weekend and I've used them while walking since and they are really helping my heels when walking. They are made by a company called Healthy Step and are called Xline Pressure Perfect. They come marked for trimming as they cover a range of sizes. They aren't cheap - if you can't get them through the NHS - but so far they appear to be helping me.
