Recently diagnosed
After months of pain and hobbling around I’ve been diagnosed with arthritis in my knee.
I’ve got Naproxen, knee support, heat mat, CBD balm and joint supplements.
Hoping for some improvement and less pain!

Hi Paisley
I too have arthritis in my right knee and was prescribed Naproxen by my Doctor. It does seem to help. Perhaps you could get your Doctor to do a referral for Physio? I was given specific exercises to do and have been doing them now for nearly 3 months. There are days when I overdue activities and I don't do my exercises, but apart from that I find that they have helped me with my mobility. I do try and do some walking, but tend to potter around in my garden doing light jobs and time myself so I don't overdo it! I find that if I sit for too long, I tend to stiffen up, so I think taking Naproxen and keeping moving is one way of coping with this. I know everyone is different though.
Take care.

Thank you for your replies. I’ve been trying to find out the cause of a sharp pain I get which is very different from the pain I get first thing in the morning and throughout the day.
I usually get it 1 - 5 times a day. It’s feels like a ‘ping’, I don’t think it’s a click but it could be. It makes my leg jolt. The initial pain only lasts a split second but it takes me a couple of minutes to recover then I can usually walk it off.
This has only started in the past week since taking the Naproxen so wondered if it had something to do with the swelling going down.
The pain also tends to happen when I’m standing still after a short walk.
It’s a bit embarrassing as it just seems to come from nowhere and does make me shout out in pain.
