Osteoporosis
Hi I have just found this group and wanted to say hello.
My bones have been aching now for months in January I went to docs and was told I possibly have osteoporosis, I am waiting for a bone density scan anyone who can give me any advice in the mean while would be much appreciated. I am on no medication except paracetamol at the moment, I have heard that gentle exercise can help. Is this true

Hello @Titch
Welcome to the online community and thank you for joining us.
So your bones have been aching for months so in January you went to your GP who said he thought it could be osteoarthritis. You are currently waiting for a bone density scan but in the mean time are looking for some advice. You've heard that gentle exercise may help and wondered if this was true.
You have certainly come to the right place if you are looking for support and advice.
Ive attached a few links below that I think may be of help to you, including our helpline details. You will also see that one of the links takes you to our information on why exercising is so important to those with arthritis and how it can help reduce your pain. Im sure other members will be able to provide ideas about what they do to keep themselves active as well.
I hope this is of help to you and please do let us know how you are getting on.
Take care
