Arthroscopy and full knee replacement

Hi I am new to this site. I have been having falls for a while stumbling into the road when cars were coming and things like that. Initially I hax been coping with dodgy knees for years. After meeting with a consultant I was told I had arthritis and needed an arthroscopy. It was minimal invasion two small scars either side of my knee. It helped for 9 years. Then I needed a full replacement and had one at 60 which I was told was the earliest I could have one. My other knee isn't so bad. My right hand was dislocated and broken in another fall and my consultant says I have arthritis in in. I can tell my knuckles are swollen stiffen up. Physio exercises help cold days are worse. I walk with a stick largely because I've had so many collapses that it gives me confidence to go out. I still work but only 16 hours per week I had to cut hours down it's all I can manage and it tires me out. G. P. Now looking into epilepsy and or heart problems as I still keep falling. Does anyone else have collapses where your body doesn't do what you want it to?

I think all of us with arthritic knees have, at one point or another, struggled to stay upright. But I do also think that your GP is being very thorough and careful and that is good. I hope he/she finds something easily remedied.

If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Yes so do I. Its getting a bit scary going out and not knowing if I'm going to fall or not. A friend gave me a fingerless glove almost like a compression glove it seems to help my hand by keeping it warm.
