New to site - Rheumatoid Arthritis sufferer
Hi 👋🏻
I'm new to this forum & have recently had all my pain meds stopped by my Doctor. The Government have told GP's to stop opioid meds, so mine have with NO alternative.
Due to the pandemic, we are still on phone consultation only appointments & when I called to speak to someone, was told they no longer pre book appointments. If I needed to simply just 'talk' to a Doctor, I would have to ring from 8am, to hopefully get an 'on-the-day' appointment.
As from my username, I am a Mum & at 8am, I am busy sorting my lot out for school, college etc & do not have time to hang on a phone, trying to get through. (It's usually engaged constantly anyway).
So, I am now only left with medication for my other illnesses & nothing for my arthritis. This now means I spend most days in bed, scared to do anything.
If I do anything, like even nipping to the shops, I end up in so much pain, I can be bed bound for days in pain.
Any idea what I can do?

Hello, @MummyKJ and welcome to the forum.
I see that you have Rheumatoid Arthritis, but do not say how this is being treated, other than by opioid pain relief that has now been withdrawn by your GP. This has led to significant difficulties in your life.
