Methotrexate or Biologic for OA

Hi, I'm just wondering if anyone have been put on methotrexate or a biologic or similar for inflammatory OA? I've been told I have this younger onset of hand OA that is inflammatory, progresses really fast and will likely lead to having erosions...scary thought. There are a lot of ongoing medical trials now looking at using MTX for erosive OA but have yet to be published.

I'd love to hear if any rheumy prescribed them to you and how you got on? I've been started on Hydroxycholoroquine but nil effect so far. Trying to keep the spirits up is all, and hoping something can slow down the progression.

Thanks for sharing!

Sharry

    Hi Sharry

I take Methotrexate for RA not inflammatory OA so a bit different.Be patient with the Hydroxycholoroquine these drugs often take time to take effect.

Great to stay positive. This site is so full of people sharing helpful and positive thoughts

I hope someone can help you.
