Hi Everyone
I am Denise, I have arthritis in both knees. My right knee has had an arthroscopic and is not so bad now but doctors are reluctant to do an arthroscopic on my left knee as NHS policy now is not to perform them on anyone over 40 years old. Physiotherapy has made little difference and I am now getting pain in my hips when standing up after sitting or lying down for even small amounts of time.

Hi @Chuckyduffer_1955, welcome to the online community! It's lovely to have you here.
It must be frustrating to be denied a procedure on one knee when it has been successful on the other, I wonder what the reasoning is behind the age cut-off?
As you say you're having hip pain, perhaps you will find this link helpful:
Hope to see you around in the online community, it's a brilliant place to meet people that understand what you're dealing with and to have a good chat.
Best wishes, Sarah (moderator)
