Hi all. I’ve been recently diagnosed with osteoarthritis. I’d be interested in meeting like minded people to chat and share ideas for helping with symptoms etc. I live in the Bedford area. If there’s a support group I’d definitely be interested in joining. I’m a fit and active 71 year old. Lately pain in my knees and legs has limited my activities which has had a huge impact on my well being. I still attend weekly Pilates classes which really help.

Hello @Annieprue and welcome to the online community,

You’ve recently been diagnosed with osteoarthritis and would like to meet like-minded people to chat and share ideas - well you’ve come to the right place! All our members live with arthritis and are friendly and welcoming. Our online community has different forums where you can talk about what it’s like living with arthritis; discuss what helps you get through the day or just chat about what you’ve been up to or share recipes. I’m sure you’ll be welcome wherever you want to join in. The link below is to Val’s cafe, an online cafe where members chat about all sorts of things all day long:

It's great to meet up face to face as well, so I’ve posted to the link where you can find out where your nearest group can be found:

    All the best,

    Anna ( Mod)
