Hi all I'm new here , I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis around 7 years ago but since then it seems to have progressed and affects most of my joints now. Is this normal please?

Hello @Suemac and welcome to the community. We are a friendly and supportive group and I hope that you will find that as well.

I understand that you have osteoarthritis which is now affecting most of your joints and are looking for help and advice. Our website has a lot of useful information in it and I would recommend having a look around it and also it has a good search function. To help you I've put a couple of links in below, but if you have any particular area of concern, e.g. hips you can search on that.

Please do keep posting and let us know how you are getting on and I am sure that others will connect with you to share their thoughts and experiences as well

    With very best wishes

    Peter

Thank you for the reply and the welcome to this site, I will look through the links you have sent me.

It will be good to have people who understand what you are going through.

Im 56 and I work full time in a nursing home and it it a very strenuous job with constant moving and handling which aggravates the condition. Mr gp has had very little input with my condition since I was diagnosed except for when I get my pain relief medication. I have had cortisone injections in one of my knees but it has not helped. Even with pain relief I still have pain. I just feel confused and at a loss for what to do.
