progression of arthritis pain ?
I am awaiting hip replacement in left leg and have some arthritis in right leg and knee. Since seeing the consultant i am experiencing pain in both thighs and groyne area as well as increased difficulty in walking. Is this to be expected or should i seek further medical advice ?

Hi @angelbaby81 ,
I had a hip replacement last year and felt pain in my thighs and lower leg but not my groin. I was only doing ordinary house and garden types of exercise until I had a chat to my surgeon about the need to get my muscles as strong as possible before the operation so that they would be able to support the new hip during recovery. So I then tried to do specific exercises as suggested on the website and have continued with them post op . Painful at times, but I feel better and have lost some weight and have learnt to generally pace myself better.
Hope this helps
