Fat pad atrophy
Hi all. New to this forum. I have arthritis in my big toe possibly both big toes. I also appear to have no cushioning left on the bottom of my feet! Anyone else got any advice on this? I've got new orthotics but they kill the bottom of my feet. It also rubs against my toe. Anyone know of any good treatments for foot pad atrophy? I'm already on the list for a cheilectomy. Two conditions is quite complex to manage!

Hello @duffybrown and welcome to the community. We are a friendly and supportive group and I hope that that will be your experience as well.
I understand that you have osteoarthritis in your big toe and are looking for advice on treatments for foot pad atrophy. Our website has a lot of useful information and I would suggest having a look around it. To help I've put a link in below that may be of interest.
Also I've come across this from NHS which might help
Please do keep posting and let us know how you are getting on and I am sure that others will connect with you to share their support and experiences as well.
With very best wishes
Peter
