Painful hands
I have arthritis in both hands, much worse in my dominant hand, during lockdown I started crocheting and knitting for various charities, I got a bit obsessed as it kept my mind off the things going on in the world.
Now I cannot to anything much at all, I really hope that things will calm down soon , I so miss my crafts.
I use ice packs, wax bath and topical voltarol.
How do any crafters cope?

Hello @JennyW and welcome to the community. We are a friendly and supportive group and I hope that that will be your experience as well.
I understand that you have arthritis in both hands (something I know about only too well). Our website has a lot of useful information and I would recommend taking a look but I've put a couple of links below which you might find helpful.
I hope that these may be of some help.
Please do keep posting and I am sure that others will connect with you to share their support and experiences as well.
With very best wishes
Peter

Hi, I have hand problems as well so know what you mean. Mine tend to get really painful if I spend a lot of time on laptops - I've now taken early retirement but before I retired sometimes it was really painful in the evenings.
The Capsaicin cream does seem to help, but be careful with it near your eyes or mouth as it is chilli based. Difficult when it is your hands that play up as you can't really wash the cream off otherwise there is no point. I do find it helps to relieve the pain though. Prescription only so you will need to see your GP.
Good luck
