LOWER BACK
Hi - I’m new to the Forum. I’ve had lower back rheumatoid arthritis diagnosed about 4 years ago. I exercise regularly and have relatively good movement - however the constant nagging pain is always there which sucks a lot of the pleasure out of things like going for a walk in the sunshine. Am I missing anything? Are there any exercises which others have found useful? Are any foods or drinks which make it worse? What about Vitamins or other supplements? Anything really - I’m just looking to benefit from others experiences.

HI @Ian1607 Welcome to the Online Community. I see you have Arthritis in your lower back and although you do your exercises are still experiencing a constant nagging pain.
A couple of links while you wait to hear from our members:
and as you mention supplements this might be of interest to you:
Best wishes

Hi @Ian1607
Going for walks in the sunshine is really really good you are adding vitamin D to your body which we all need especially us lot!
I was going to add that link about diet and nutrition I have read it over and over myself. If you have osteoarthritis i think they do recommend capcaisin I think
Oh I think it's this link I like:
the main thing i always think is talking, getting sensibly informed and getting support which is why I come in here so often.
Take care

Thanks Toni - that’s helpful!
Theres quite a lot of info on ‘positive’ things to do, but I can’t find much on things to avoid. I wonder if there’s any evidence on, for example, foods or drinks that can make osteoarthritis worse.

Good question Ian , but I eat healthily just not moderately that I should do , think mines due to wear & tear of being in care system for over 20 years , just Wish there was a cure for this instead of going through pain on a daily basis
