Currently on cocodamol and topical ibuprofen but wrist and hand pain is just so bad. Cant take oral ibuprofen. Doctors say to exercise i walk sqim. Have had 2 new knees and currently back issues. Is it worth pushing to be referred to rheumatology clinic?

    Morning Collette,

You don't say which kind of Arthritis you have. It very much sounds as though you are doing a lot to help yourself with your exercise regime.

If it's an inflammatory condition you have, like Rheumatoid Arthritis, then a referral to Rheumatology is essential. Sometimes GPs do send people with Osteoarthritis to Rheumatology for their opinion too.

I wonder whether this may be of interest to you?

Do let us know how you get on

    Best wishes

    Ellen.
