Hi to all
Hello to all this is my first post I have a diagnosis of osteoarthritis in my knee I also have degenerative disc disease in my lower back which has been very problematic for me for about 10 years now. My knee is relatively new I only got diagnosed about 12 months ago but is progressing pretty fast, I am on the surgical list for a knee Arthroscopy then I need a Osteotomy to correct the leg alignment and put off a joint replacement.

Hi @Kryten - welcome to the online community!
I see you've recently been diagnosed with Osteoarthritis in your knee, on top of your pre-existing degenerative disc disease in your lower back. You're on the list to have some corrective surgery to prolong the time until a replacement.
I too have OA in my knees, and I do wish you very well with your surgery when it happens! I'm not sure of your position, but some gentle but regular exercise has been a good suggestion which has helped me a lot. You do have to be careful exercising with arthritis, as it's important to not hurt yourself worse, and to slowly build up what you do. We do have some exercises specifically designed for people with arthritis - I'll put the links below:
We also have a video here of some stretching exercises for knees.
Please do share any issues or questions you may have - we are here to listen and offer what advice and help we can.
Lovely to meet you!
