Knees
Hi thank you for letting me join I'm new to this arthritis thing ha ha I have it in both of my knees and the pain is well I'm not going to swear what do you all do to help with the pain I'm on co-codamol and naproxin but it doesn't do much I have been sent to physio to be told to do exercises but I'm my disabled wife's carer so finding the time is a bit difficult I do all the things round the home like cleaning, cooking, washing etc so to me that's enough exercise it hurts like hell when I'm going going up the stairs or when I'm getting up out of a chair and if I get down on my knees I will be there full stop

Good morning, @Sie and welcome to the community. I see that you have arthritis in both knees, that painkillers are not helping and that your position as your wife’s carer creates difficulty for structured exercise as advised by a physio.
Like you, I find getting up from kneeling a challenge. I always try and kneel within reach of something that might help, a cupboard door for example on the top of which you can rest an elbow for extra leverage.
Here are some links to our website for help and tips on pain management, exercise and living with the beast:
I hope you find these helpful. You are now part of a large community where there is a wealth of stories of personal experiences for you to mine.
Good luck and let us know how you get on.
