New knee partial & full joint replacement
Hi, Im just looking for information from people who have had full or partial knee joint replacement, im now on the waiting list for a partial or full knee joint replacement & worder just how good & strong these are, can you kneel down & how much movement can I expect from the new joint?
Whats good excercise before & after the operation & whats recovery time likely to be?
Im just wondering what others have experianced
Thank you

Hi Martin,
I've had three knee replacements in a long arthritic life. All excellent.
I've not tried kneeling as my OA came as a result of RA so my recovery was different to that of others but I do feel it helped n a way as I was unable to rush things. I know, from pervious threads on here, that there is no one-size-fits-all recovery. Some can kneel: some can't. At least 90 degrees flexion is expected but some get considerably more.
Good exercises, before and after are basic quads.
Have a read here and see what you think.

If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
