Hi @mike60
Welcome to the online community and thank you for joining us.
So you are starting to have a lot more pain in your right hip and are wondering how best to cope with it. Really struggling to walk but are taking painkillers and exercising as much as you can.
Sounds like that although you are struggling, you are still trying to remain sensible and continue to exercise that joint even though that in itself can be difficult.
I found the information below that you may find helpful and Im sure once your fellow members have seen your post, will be able to give you more suggestions about what they find helpful.
I hope this information is of help to you. Please do let us know how you are getting along and please do feel free to keep getting involved.

Hi Mike
Ive since had my hip replaced but a decent physiotherapist was worth his weight in gold to me. I did it religiously (all tailored to my movements) and it helped a huge amount. Also, heat patches and hot water bottles.
Wishing you well :)
