Hi @Shrendab - welcome to the online community!

You've been diagnosed with Osteoarthritis, but looking back at your records you've seen that a blood test showed that you had an RA factor of 46.3 and you're wondering if this is high and if it means a possible Rheumatoid Arthritis diagnosis has been missed.

Personally I'm afraid I'm not sure what is high, but reading the NHS information on diagnosis of RA it can determine on two separate blood tests - a positive RA factor combined and a positive anti-CCP. If you are concerned that you have possible RA and it's been missed your best bet is to talk to yo9ur GP - or if you're worried about it being the same GP ask to see a different doctor at your surgery - this is more than allowed. Versus Arthritis has a lot of information about Rheumatoid Arthritis available, I've linked to it below. There is a full section on diagnosis you might find interesting:

Some of the pointers in this link may be of use to you as well since you have said you've had worse pain recently:

We have a lot of discussions which may be helpful, and if you want to ask a question or share your experience please do so! Lovely to meet you!

If I was you I'd get it checked out @Shrendab

That figure sounds a tad high to me, but was there a subsequent blood test which showed it lower maybe? In your shoes l would ask your GP and you could try to ask for a referral to Rheumatology for an opinion. Nothing ventured nothing gained and it seems we need to be a bit pushy these days.

Let us know how you get on
