I am 53 and have been under medical professionals for past 5 years since being diagnosed with bone on bone osteoarthritis of both hips. Then my lower back became a bigger problem. Subsequently I have really cold and painful toes, numbing often in arms hands, legs, sciatica. Also have pains in neck, middle back and ribs and lumbar.

I have had X-rays, several MRIs, blood tests and a bone scan

On top of other symptoms

I have osteophytes across the spine including thoratic I have 9-10 bulging discs between mild to moderate with tears facet joint arthritis, narrowing of foramen with several nerves impinging I have now been listed for both shoulders to be replaced and both knees have been xrayed and will follow soon according to surgeon.

I had a left thr in Jan 20 and steroids in my lower facet joint nerves.

In May 21 had right thr and radio frequency ablation in July 21 ( sadly didn’t work)

I am under GP, orthapedic surgeon, pain clinic and was refered to RhumatoidologisT in Dec 21 as I have always had psoriasis. Two days ago have been diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis. Now have 4 months worth of steroids and starting immune suppressants this evening.

Still taking other daily meds

8 tramadol

8 paracetamol

2 naproxen

3 amitripoline

150mg sertraline

also have lidocaine and Ibrugel perscribed to help back.

Seeing pain clinic this Monday and Tuesday have an orthapedic phone consult on shoulder.

Supportive family that keep me going but have gone from walking holidays in penines and moors for 10 days and 150 miles to not being able to go into kitchen without sticks or sofa surfing.

Now when out use wheelchair or mobility scooter.

Frustrated as now being told I have psoriasis arthritis but if I had been sent to rhumatoidologist 5 years ago might still have some working joints and spine.

Anyway that’s me and I look forward to getting further hints and tips on how to make life work plus have a treat tomorrow and booked out a hydrotherapy pool for an hour just me and family

my daughter who is my carer sent this which is 28 days of meds excluding the 120 steroids and 4 immune suppressants now taking Blue pills are amitripoline before I get any rude comments 😂
