Shortness of breath after infusion of retuximab
Hi Guys,
My wife had her infusion 2 days ago and is finding herself short of breath, I see that this can be a side effect of retuximab.
How serious is this? It says to contact doctor but today is Saturday and unable to contact doctor over the weekend.
Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.

Hi @Phil1960
Welcome to the online community and thank you for joining us.
So your wife has Rheumatoid Arthritis and is on Rituximab infusions. She is experiencing shortness of breath which is a side effect. As its Saturday, you can not contact your GP.
Depending on how bad her shortness of breath is, I would suggest calling 111 or 999. I'm not sure how common this side effect is but I'm sure the other members that experience this will comment below.
Please do let us know how she is getting on and please do keep joining in.
Take care
