Hello everyone! I’ve just signed up and this is my first post.

I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my hips last week having developed pain in my legs and lower back last September. The condition gives me constant pain that gets worse throughout every day and leaves me exhausted both physically and emotionally every night.

It’s stopped me doing some things, like long distance walking but, otherwise, I can do stuff by working around it. I use over the counter pain killers (tried codeine on prescription, hated it), do daily exercises, and manage my weight.

I’m 59 (male) and I know this won’t go away so I’m hoping to learn more about the condition so I can better manage it and live with it.
